Since beginning of the module and with this part of assignment of writing blogs and unique methods of teaching by Steven Curtis has brought a dimension of today's diplomacy actually look like and portrayed in with advanced method. I am somewhere able to practically analyse the flow of world politics in norms of diplomacy. This is what I have developed by the module.
In today’s scenario, It seems Diplomacy have got a mission with technological, multilateral and advanced development. Globalization and media has played pivotal role in shaping new vision of today's diplomacy. However, public diplomacy and its multilateralism have driven far more ahead and have made diplomacy as important aspect of foreign policy today. Use of soft power, importance to human security, human rights, environmentalism and its bio-diversity had however resulted in to world peace. There are some drawbacks still hence they can be overcome at some point. Our visit to Swedish embassy gave us practical knowledge and means of example in this module study.
However, new diplomacy has figured out the human security, mutual international relations, mutual trade and commercial diplomacy, fast means of communications and its method on developing. Overall. It was need for today and as per today's situation. For example surgeons will surgery the injured parts of body but not the whole body itself. Similarly, Today’s diplomacy has surgery its injured part from the past and has played important role in world politics.

There are some interesting points here. However, I'm a little unclear about the surgery analogy - are you claiming that diplomacy can deal with specific problems, but lacks the ability to transform the nature of world politics as a whole? Earlier on you refer to the multilateralism of public diplomacy. What do you mean by that?
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments, With phrase of surgery analogy I mean here is that whatever loose points, failures, issues, mistakes and errors from the past that can seen today and have become a focal point of world politics. I would like to use another analogy of tailor stitching the clothes where it was torn similarly new ideas of diplomacy(tailor) has stitches some of the issues such nuclear proliferation, involvement of non-state actors etc.(torn clothes in the sense of mistakes, internal disputes, etc).
ReplyDeleteThe Multilateral ism of Public diplomacy, here I really mean is opinion of every single individual regardless of what nationality he is. what he thinks of political, social and economic development of country, Importance to secularism and respect to his/her own religion and tradition which is soft corner of every individual does the country take care of it. For e.g.: In UK, One migrant adds some contribution towards countries development (National Insurance). however, He is responsible to make immigration rules stronger with adherence to stop illegal entrance. I hope you understood this second issue, sorry I am lacking the words phrase to actually explain this multilateral of public diplomacy. I would to discuss on this issue when I see you in person.
